Types of Excavators with Different Attachments

Excavator is considered as one of the most used construction equipment that can perform different construction tasks at a time. It is more frequently used in construction where digging and moving is required on large objects. Excavators mainly consisted on three parts, a drivers’ cabin, boom stick and attachments. Excavator varied according to different applications, shapes, sizes and attachments whereas some of the common types of excavators are given here in detail:

Compact Excavator
Compact Excavators are one of the commoner Types of Excavators that can compact the times of many constructions because of its durable work performance. It can work over small streets, fields, forests and even under gardens. Don’t go with its small size, it can hold 8 tons at a time just because of hydraulic boom arms.

Dragline Excavator
Dragline Excavators are usually as large as it can operate heavy duty construction operations. It is one of the greatest civil-engineering machines built for digging mines. Dragline excavator is on-site construction machine consists of a structural designed boom, large bucket, immovable base and operators’ cabin.

Suction Excavator
Suction Excavators are also called “vacuum excavators” that work as digger and sucks the materials from earth surface with highly vacuumed pressure. It crawls with pipes and tank that make it useful for waste storage, and truck shape makes it fast enough.

Crawler Excavator
Crawler excavator is one of the Common Types of Excavators that can be seen everywhere in the fields either deserts or mountains. It was named “crawler excavator” because of its track-mounted system instead of tires. Crawler excavator usually has too large boom-arm that helps to dig and carry from those places where other big machines can’t reach.

Wheeled Excavator
Wheeled excavators worked mostly for the projects that need to be completed fast and they have big wheels that make it stand-able at every location either deserts or under lakes. It has a boom-arm attached on the base, while a hydraulic operated bucket attached to the arm.

Excavator Attachments
Excavator is the combination of many parts and some of them are known as attachments. These are the parts of excavator that help it to work with functionality at different areas for different purposes. Mainly used attachments are:

Slab Crab for holding slabs.
Grapple is used to pull the big pieces of stone.
Concrete Pulverizer is used to pulverize the concrete.
Hydraulic Thumb allows you to pull heavy objects and liquids because of highly capable bucket.
Bucket normally has teeth that allow the constructor to sweep-out sticky objects from bottom.
Auxiliary & Long Sticks extend your opportunity to reach-out the maximum point of your construction.
Ripper is same as your finger nail, it exterminates the base easily.
Blade Bucket has opened the maximum capability to cut-off the big pieces before pulling them.

If we conclude the whole talk so the most necessary part is that every excavator designed for specific operation due to its sizes, shapes, functions and attachments that make them moveable and usable in many industrial and construction sectors.
